    1. Frameless showers can be partnered with or without a shower tray. Either way, the bottom of the glass will be sealed with a silicon bead or similar to the top of the tray or the floor tiles of a wet room.

  1. Hi I want to glue a small plastic upstand to my acrylic stone resin shower tray so the upstand fits behind a wall panel to prevent leaks getting behind the panel. What is the best glue or adhesive to use on this type of material?

  2. Hello, I am hoping you can reply very quickly to my enquiry.
Please will you advise me what size of sliding shower doors do I need to fit a shower tray 1500mm x 800mm?
    Thank you

    1. Hi Evelyn,
To fit in a corner location you’ll need a 1500mm sliding shower door and an 800mm side panel. For a recess, just the 1500mm sliding door.

Shower doors have a degree of adjustment to take into consideration out of true walls and also the fact that the space might not be exactly 1500mm wide. They can effectively shrink slightly.

      Hope that helps.

  3. Hi, I’m looking to replace a 1000mm sliding shower door, but any I’ve looked at have either a narrow space for entry with the sliding door open or that size isn’t specified. I guess what I’m asking is what is the maximum opening available.
    Thanks in anticipation.

    1. You’re correct Iain in that the entry width isn’t often specified. It isn’t information that the manufacturer supplies us.

On a 1000mm sliding door the entry width is likely to be 400-450mm max, many will be less. This is because the sliding door goes behind the fixed panel and because of the handle it can’t go completely behind. There has to be a limit to prevent the handle from banging into the profile.

We’ll make a concerted effort to try and obtain this information from the manufacturers and add to our specification and perhaps to our filters.
